Bob Dunkin established Parchvale Ltd in 1992, having been in the surface coating industry for over 20 years. Since its foundation, Parchvale Ltd has developed the Glissawax Range; a group of high quality, micronized wax products for use in surface coating applications.
The Glissawax Range is now used in liquid and paste inks, powder coatings, metallic inks, waterbased coatings and coil coating applications by companies ranging from large multinationals to smaller independents throughout the UK and Europe.
Parchvale Ltd now consists of a team of people specialising in the micronized wax industry who strive to offer professional advice with a personal approach. We have the knowledge required to address and tackle a diverse range of wax-related surface coating requirements and aim to work with you to understand your product and provide a solution that will best meet your individual needs.

Coil Coatings
Glissawax Micronised Waxes for Coil Coatings for the Building Industry
Glissaspray 8 used in standard coil coating formulations where shape of particle does not cause problems in the coil.
Glissawax Plus used as a surface modifier giving good scratch resistance and anti-blocking for metal coating products.
Glissamide 14010 used in highbuild formulations.
Waterbased Coatings
Glissawax Micronised Waxes for Waterbased Coatings
Glissawax PSF7 widely used for slip, rub resistance and preservation of gloss on cardboard packaging, such as cereal boxes.
Glissawax Extra & Glissawax Plus used where slip is controlled and greater resistance properties are needed.
Glissaspray 8 used for hard finishes and as a substitute for polypropylene where high resistance properties are required.
Metallic Inks
Glissawax Micronised Waxes for Metallic Inks
Glissawax PSF7 widely used in paste and liquid ink formulations for gold and silver printing inks and has least effect on the gloss of the system.
Powder Coatings
Glissawax Micronised Waxes for Powder Coatings
Glissawax Extra, Glissamide 14010 and Glissamide 80010 for general use in standard powder coating formulations such as for white goods and heavy machinery.
Glissawax Plus for difficult substrates where slip and good scratch resistance is needed.
Liquid and Paste Inks
Glissawax Micronised Waxes for Liquid and Paste Inks
Glissaspray 8 & PSF7 for general use in liquid and paste inks for standard substrates (paper, cardboard, polyethene and transparent films) giving rub resistance and scratch resistance.
Gilssawax Extra & Glissawax Plus for more difficult substrates such as nitrocellulose film, aluminium foil, hard plastics (margarine tubs) which by introducing PTFE to the formulation provides excellent scratch and rub resistance.
Glissawax CP20 & Glissawax PEP 15 for hard finishes on metal containers (beverage cans).
